Ace's Emergency ACL Surgery

Dear Friends, Family and Animal Lovers,

I am India, and I'm reaching out with a heartfelt plea to support my buddy Ace. I've initiated this fundraiser to support Ace in receiving the crucial ACL surgery he desperately needs to save his right leg. 

Ace, my cherished companion, encountered a distressing incident in June 2023 while doing what he adores most—swimming at our local dog beach. During one playful moment, an unforeseen twist in the water resulted in a devastating injury to his back right leg. The immediate aftermath was evident as he limped ashore, signaling that something was gravely wrong. A visit to the local vet and X-rays revealed the harsh reality: Ace had ruptured his ACL due to the forceful movement during his swim.

Since that fateful day, my family and I have spared no effort in providing Ace with the best at-home care possible. We diligently followed the vet's recommendations, offering joint supplements, ample rest, physical support, and an abundance of love and attention. However, despite our unwavering care, his pain has persisted and worsened over the past 8 months. It's heartrending to witness him unable to partake in his favorite activities due to this excruciating pain and discomfort.

The ACL, or Anterior Cruciate Ligament, plays a pivotal role in stabilizing the knee joint. Without it, the instability and pain increase, severely limits mobility. Ace's zest for life, from swimming to dashing around the dog park with his companions, playing soccer, or rolling in the winter snow, has been significantly curtailed by this injury. It has robbed him of his joy and freedom, hindering his ability to walk, run, and play comfortably.

At a sprightly 7 years old, Ace still has so much life to live. He has supported me through college and half way through law school. He is my travel buddy, running partner, protector, and motivator. His vibrant spirit and unbridled enthusiasm for life should not be stifled by this injury. With your generous contributions, we can provide Ace with the necessary surgery that will alleviate his pain and restore his mobility to continue his life of promise. Your support will not only give Ace a chance to reclaim his active lifestyle but also ensure that he can continue to bring joy and companionship to our lives and those around him.
