As many of you know, like many bars and restaurants in NYC, Ace Bar was forced to closed Monday, Mar 16 at 8pm with almost no notice due to the COVID-19 Virus and the global crisis we are seeing. Because of it, we had to lay off our wonderful staff, leaving everyone with no time to prepare or plan what to do next.
With this forced closure, our staff is scared. Their ability to get through this with no income is not easy. Our staff, our family is strong, caring, generous and dedicated. The worry of losing their homes and feeding their families is very real.
Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help, and this is definitely a start! To anyone that has a reliable income and the ability to help, we greatly appreciate it! If you have been in after having a bad day and our bartenders were there to listen, or share in a birthday celebration shot or maybe you met that special someone in your life here please consider helping out today. Our porters are some of the hardest working people you will ever see in your life making sure to keep the environment comfortable and clean! Our barbacks go above and beyond to make sure the beers in your hand stay nice andcold! And our dedicated management team are the glue to keep it all together on a daily basis! Like we said, it’s our family!
We can’t wait til this all dies down and we can be back doing what we do best! And that involves you guys! We thank you for whatever support you can give! Stay safe and thank you!
From our family to yours!
