I am Mehmet Derelioğlu, the organization team captain of the ITU HyperBee project team operating under Istanbul Technical University.
As the ITU HyperBee team, we continue our efforts to develop Hyperloop systems, the transportation technology of the future, using domestic resources.
Our Vision
By working on the Hyperloop, the fifth generation transportation technology of the future, we aim to develop frictionless and high-speed transportation systems with completely domestic facilities.
Our Achievements
Our team represents ITU and our country at the highest level both nationally and internationally:
* European Hyperloop Week 2024 (Switzerland): We won three World Championships in the categories of Traction, Levitation & Guiding and Sense & Control. We hold the distinction of being the first and only Turkish team to successfully complete all technical stages of the competition and earn the right to participate in the "Demonstration" phase abroad.
TEKNOFEST Hyperloop Development Competition 2024: We won second place in Turkey and the special "Steel Levitation Award" given for the first time in this field.
* TEKNOFEST Hyperloop Development Competition 2025: We won the "Electromagnetic Levitation Development Award".
Our Workspace
We carry out all our R& D and production processes in our workshop at ITU Ayazaga Campus with the work of engineering candidates from different disciplines such as mechanics, software, electricity, propulsion and levitation. Dec.
Our Future Goals
For the 2026 season, we are focusing on integrating our unique solutions, particularly in electromagnetic levitation and linear motor systems, into our prototype. Our main goal is to crown our experience of the past years with a championship at TEKNOFEST and to maintain our success abroad and to achieve performance success at international standards at European Hyperloop Week.
