Today, April 5, 2025, after participating in a tournament in our town, the Cancún children's rugby team "Pitz" was involved in an accident on the highway near Tulum as they were returning home.

A truck rear-ended the vehicle they were riding in, seriously injuring the children and their parents.

We ask for your prayers and thoughts for the grieving families.

We also strongly request your donations to cover surgeries and other expenses for those affected. Donations will be used to pay hospital bills: transportation, surgeries, rehabilitation, and funeral expenses.

Malix Peek' Tulum Rugby Club

1. I am Hugo, a member of the Malix Peek Tulum club and part of the children's coaching team. I represent our club, which is helping our friends at the Pitz club in Cancun.

I am in charge of managing the accounts so that the funds for transportation and hospital bills are paid and/or reimbursed to the people who have provided assistance.

Any donor who needs detailed accounts can request them. We will share the breakdown of expenses as the bills are paid.

2. The plan is to raise the money to pay for the surgeries, physical and psychological therapies, and recovery of the affected children and their families. The money will be transferred directly to the institutions or service providers.

3. Of the money paid to hospitals, ambulances, and funeral homes so far for the emergency, some people have contributed money to the emergency and need to be reimbursed.

There are still expenses to be paid for complex spinal and pelvic surgery, which will require transportation from Cancún to another city for the affected person and their family.

All expenses will be justified with the donors, and the information will always be kept transparent.

Hoy 5 de abril de 2025, después de haber participado en un torneo en nuestro pueblo, el equipo de rugby infantil de Cancún "Pitz” tuvo un accidente en la carretera cerca de Tulum cuando regresaban a casa.

Un camión de carga embistió por detrás al vehículo en el que ocupaban causando heridas de gravedad a niños y sus papás.

Pedimos sus oraciones y sus pensamientos para la familias que están sufriendo.

También pedimos encarecidamente sus donativos para solventar las cirugías y otros gastos de los afectados. Las donaciones serán usadas para pagar las cuentas de hospital: traslados, cirugías, rehabilitación, gastos funerarios.

1. Yo soy Hugo, miembro del club Malix Peek de Tulum y parte del equipo de los entrenadores de los niños. Represento nuestro club que está ayudando a nuestros amigos del club Pitz de Cancún.

Me encargo de hacer las cuentas para que los fondos para pagar cuentas de traslados, hospital sean pagados y/o reembolsados a gente que ha prestado ayuda.

Cualquier donante que necesite detalle de las cuentas, lo puede solicitar. Compartiremos el desglose de gastos conforme se vayan pagando cuentas.

2. El plan es juntar el dinero pagar las cirugías, terapias físicas y psicológicas, recuperación de los niños afectados y sus familias. El dinero se transfiere directamente a las instituciones o proveedores de servicio.

3. De lo pagado a los hospitales, a las ambulancias y funeraria hasta ahora por la emergencia, hay gente que ha aportado en la emergencia dinero y necesita ser reembolsada.

Aún quedan gastos por hacer de una cirugía compleja de columna y pelvis, la cual requerirá traslados desde Cancún a otra ciudad de la persona afectada y su familia.

Todo gasto será justificado con los donantes y la información se mantendrá transparente siempre.
