Hello, my name is Steven Walker. My wife, Tanya, and I are the proud parents of four amazing children—Ivan, Lydia, Ellie, and Everett. I’m a veteran, a devoted father, and a hard-working truck driver who puts in over 60 hours a week to support my family.

I've spent my life doing what’s right—serving my country, raising my kids with love, and working tirelessly to provide for them. But now, we’re facing a nightmare we never imagined.

A tragic accident has turned our lives upside down.

Our 7-year-old son, Ivan, accidentally got ahold of my legally owned handgun and unintentionally shot himself. By the grace of God, Ivan has made a full recovery and is healthy and thriving today. But instead of recognizing this as the heartbreaking accident it truly was, both my wife and I are now facing criminal charges.

We are being treated like criminals for something that was never intentional. Now, our entire future is at risk.

Who I Am

I would never intentionally harm anyone—especially not my own children. That’s not who I am, and anyone who knows me can tell you that. I’ve lived my life with integrity. I lead with love—for my wife, for my children, and for my community.

Now, the justice system is failing to see the full picture. These charges threaten to tear our family apart—and that’s why we are reaching out for help.
