Accident Recovery: New Van and Chairs

Hello all!

On December 14th, 2024, my parents were driving and were hit by a car who ran through a stop sign. While they only suffered broken ribs and bumps and bruises, the handicap accessible van that was being driven, as well as two electric wheelchairs were completely totaled and have no chance of repair. The insurance process has been extremely slow and while some help will most likely be given, my mom has had to rotate between at least 5 loaner electric wheelchairs until she can get one that fits her the best. On top of this, my dad and her are trying to find a new handicap accessible van which is not easy considering the extensive modifications that are required like a wheelchair seat, special steering controls and more.

My mom does not work and my dad only works part time and unfortunately these types of devices are very costly. Electric wheelchairs can range from $500 to $10,000 and handicap vans can be up to $50,000 or much more.

Anything would help so I sincerely appreciate any funds that are donated. It has not been easy but my parents are very strong and I am keeping faith that we will be seen through this!
