Hello. As many of you know, I was involved in a car accident on 7/29/2025. My van was a total loss and I did sustain some injuries as a result of the accident. I was sitting at a red light when I was hit by a box truck that had lost control after a car pulled out to cross the highway and hit the truck, sending it right in my direction. I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Unfortunately, because of this accident, I have been put in a position to buy a vehicle and after going through the process of trying to buy one the last few days, I have been hit with the reality that I am in no position to be able to afford a car payment at the moment. I did receive some money for the loss of my van, but it isn’t enough to get the monthly payment down enough on even a used car that I can afford. Even though my van was older, it was dependable and it was my livelihood. It had low miles and most importantly, it was paid for. This has completely flipped my world upside down.

I have missed work due to the accident itself and from the pain of my injuries I received, and so my most recent paycheck was just enough to pay the bills I already had obligations to and a rental car.

I absolutely did not want to have to create one of these and ask for help, but I have no other options at this point and I would appreciate any help to get me back into something affordable and dependable. Anything donated will go towards the down payment for a car to get my monthly payments low enough where I can afford it or to buy a decent used car outright, which would be the better option in the long run.
