My best friend since the 3rd grade, Sammi, and her sweet family are going through a really difficult time. Just under a month ago, she gave birth to their second beautiful baby girl. In a quick turn of events this past weekend, her husband Alex was in a serious dirt bike accident.

Alex is one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever met. I’ve watched the sparkle in Alex’s eye since High School, wanting to give Sammi the world and now his two little girls. Alex works full-time as a plumber and welder, and on top of that, he takes on additional side jobs in both trades to help provide for his family. He has been in surgery working on the multiple injuries he endured, including broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a fractured scapula, and spinal injuries. Instead of being home with his newborn, he’s in the hospital facing a long road to recovery.

This family is suddenly balancing hospital stays, recovery, caring for their newborn and toddler, and the stress of lost income and unexpected medical expenses. Sammi & Alex will walk to the ends of the earth for the people they love and care about, and the last thing they want is to be asking others for help. I started this fundraiser to help ease some of the burden and give back some of the love, so they can focus on healing and caring for their little ones at this time.
