My name is Heath on Saturday, June 22nd, I was injured while trying to help my brother hitch up a trailer. Due to a bad chain connection, a heavy sway bar released with extreme force—over 1,000 lbs of torque.

I suffered a broken collarbone, a partially torn ear, a head wound, and severe bruising.

**Surgery Complications + Urgent Legal Deadline Approaching**

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a quick but important update. Today, I underwent surgery to reattach my collarbone. What should’ve been a fairly routine procedure ended up taking three times longer due to old damage from a childhood injury that caused my bone to heal bent.

The surgeon made it clear—I can’t push, pull, or lift anything with that arm for at least 6 weeks. He also did a nerve block to help with the intense pain I’m expected to face during recovery.

To make matters more difficult, I recently moved my camp trailer to a place that’s barely livable and requires a lot of work. The house is for my aunt, her young son, and her mother. They’re depending on me and my skillset to get the place ready for them to move into, and this injury is putting everything on hold.

To add to the already difficult situation, I have a court date coming up on July 10th. That means legal fees, fines, and court-ordered classes and assessments I still need to pay for. I was working toward covering these, but now I can’t even lift a tool, let alone work.
