Accident in Bali

Hey, my name is Marlon. I’m 24 years old and from Germany. I am fundraising for myself. I was traveling for 2 months with friends through Australia and Bali and had a great time. Towards the end of our trip together, some of my friends were going to continue traveling to leave to Thailand and one of them was going back to Germany. I was going to stay in Bali for a few more days since the flight back home was cheaper that day. June 2, the day we all said goodbye to each other, was the night of my accident. I was chased by a very aggressive dog. Since the dog tried to bite me and they often times carry very dangerous diseases like rabies, I immediately followed my instincts and ran for my life. However, the street was very steep and while running I lost control of my tempo. I ran so fast to the point that tore something. Later that night I was admitted to a hospital in Bali. They did CT scans and X-Rays and found out it’s a hip fracture on the right side. After that I was left untreated for 2 days until I was transferred to another hospital in Bali. That one was even worse than the first one. The staff did not care an ounce of my condition and the fact I was still in so much pain. All they cared about was me signing bills (while not even being receptive and aware of my surroundings). I was left in my own urine for days, had to order toilet paper for myself since they told me they don’t have any and was all alone in Bali with no one really speaking English on top of that. Still untreated til that point. I felt incredibly unsafe and wanted to leave. My travel insurance made me stay there and forced me to get surgery there since I was obligated to get it before going on a plane. I expressed how i didn’t feel safe but they didn’t care and tried to assure me that it’s safe. I ended up getting the surgery. Right after the surgery I received absolutely no after care. They then wanted me to leave the hospital immediately and started making threats of kicking me out on the street while still being unable to walk. I had to do endless calls with the embassy, different hospitals and my travel insurance to somehow get me out of there and get help to get back to Germany. After almost 2 weeks, I was able to leave back to Germany under the condition that I can lay down during the flight. Now back in Germany, I was admitted to another hospital which is now stating that the surgeon in Bali messed up the surgery and I might need an artificial hip. As you can probably figure, it’s been a lot on me physically but also mentally. On top of all of that, bills keep coming up that I simply can’t pay for. Whether it’s the phone bills for all the calls I had to do to get me back to Germany, the equipment I need for walking / transportation and the medical care I need. At 24, I simply cannot afford everything that’s about to hit me financially. For that reason, I am kindly asking for some financial support through this platform. Thank you so much in advance.
