Support “Our SEND Family” – Help Us Keep Events Accessible for All

Founded over nine years ago, Our SEND Family has supported thousands of families navigating the challenges of disability and mental health. We are a volunteer-led, community-driven group built on empathy, trust, and shared experience.

Now, we need your help to continue this vital work.

Why We’re Fundraising

We run regular events, support sessions, and inclusive activities for young people and carers. These aren’t just feel-good extras—they’re lifelines for families who often feel isolated and overlooked.

To keep these events either free or heavily subsidised, we rely entirely on fundraising.

Your donation will go directly towards:

• Venue costs

• Materials and resources

• Food and refreshments

• Equipment and accessibility needs

• Keeping costs low (or free) for families who are struggling financially

We believe no child should miss out on a celebration or connection because of cost—and no carer should feel left behind because they can’t afford to attend.

What We Offer

For Carers:

• Mental health support

• Peer connection and respite opportunities

• Self-care and wellbeing groups

For Young People:

• Inclusive, accessible activities

• Social groups for those out of school/not in formal education/awaiting placements or struggling with mental health

• Creative and sensory sessions that bring joy and confidence

• Sensory Santa /Halloween/picnic in the park /awards ceremonies

• Gaming groups tailored to SEND needs

All our events are designed to be welcoming, safe, and empowering—spaces where families feel seen, supported, and part of a community. But they’re only possible with your help.
