Hello, my 21 year old child Nathan, who identifies as Jynx Beaudry has just been involved in a life altering accident.
On December 5th 2019 he was run over by a train in Hamilton, On. He has had both legs amputated just below the knee and lost two digits on his dominant hand. Hes now been in ICU for 6 days and has a long road to recovery. Today was the first day he was coherent enough to realize his legs were gone and he is devastated.
Jynx was born with a rare condition called Agenisis of the Corpus Collosum or ACC as well as a 5cm x 8cm Parasaggital Cyst in his frontal lobe and grew up with many challenges but was a very smart kid which is not typical of many with his condition. As an adult he has developed serious mental health issues.
Well he will be slightly functional once his wounds have healed his life as well as our entire families lives are forever changed.

I've never asked for help before but I beg for help with my boy. While he may identify as Jynx he will always be my baby boy Nate.
We have no idea what he will need in the future but the one thing we know for sure is we need an accessible home to bring him to once he gets out of the hospital as his family home is a third floor apartment with no elevator.
We will also need to have an accessible vehicle to take him for physiotherapy and other rehab and mental health appointments. He will be wheelchair bound until he gets prosthetics in the future.
We're just a regular family with ordinary means living in a city with extremely high housing costs and will not be able to afford an accessible home with our means. Nor will we be able to afford the assistive devices we will require to care for him.
Jynx has been living transient for the last few months and came back to Hamilton with no clothes so clothing donations would be greatly appreciated.
We are a family of 5 and we are both missing time at work and with being tied up at the hospital for many months ahead we are worried about putting food on the table and are struggling to find time to deal with Christmas for our 12 year old daughter.
Please help.
Thanks,
Todd Allen
