Access for metastatic cancer treatment
Donation protected
Dear friends,
I’m reaching out to you during one of the most difficult moments of my life.
As many of you know, I’ve recently moved to British Columbia, Canada, after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. This treatment is not available in my home country, and I came here with hope for access to life-saving care and a second chance at life.
I have been advised by oncologists that I need to start urgent treatment immediately, specifically a medication called Enhertu, which offers one of the best chances to control my cancer, and this is not available in Lebanon.
Unfortunately, as a newcomer to BC on a work permit, I am not yet eligible for health coverage under BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) and the waiting period is three months, time I simply don’t have. Every day without treatment increases the risk of the disease spreading further.
Because I don’t have insurance yet, I must pay out of pocket for care, medication, and specialist appointments during this critical window. The cost is overwhelming.
That’s why I’m turning to you my friends, family, and kind-hearted community.
Your support ,whether through a donation or by sharing ,will help me:
Access immediate oncology care
Cover the cost of essential cancer treatment
Begin my healing journey here in Canada with dignity and hope
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to the care I urgently need. If you're unable to give, please consider sharing my story with others.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me in this fight. Your support means more than words can ever express.
With gratitude and hope,
Razan Fakih
