Accesible van for Zack
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Cecilia and I am asking for your help to raise money for an accessible van for my brother Zack. He is 21 years old and has cerebral palsy. He recently graduated and is looking forward to going to college.
The van my parents have is no longer useful, also its a regular van with no ramp or anything accommodated for his needs.
He has received a few surgeries due to his condition and getting him around to doctors appointments has become very difficult. He is getting bigger and heavier for my mom to carry him out of his wheelchair and onto the car seats.
He recently had a surgery done which comes with a lot of doctors appointments to get checked out so it is very important to get him the right transportation method as fast as we can.
The fact that he is no longer going to school has also taken a toll on his emotional state, he has become depressed and taking him out places its much more difficult without a van to transport him and his wheelchair.
It would mean a lot to him to get the money to buy him the handicap van he needs to make it easier to get him around and be ready for when he is accepted into college.
He is a very optimistic and positive kid with a big heart. No matter the hard times he has been through he always has a smile on his face. He has big dreams to go to college and get a job which fortunately he will achieve with the big capacity of understanding he has.
A lot of times he has mentioned that he is trapped in his body because there is so much he would love to be able to do. Getting this van will definitely help his wishes because it will be so much easier for him to go anywhere he wants; college, a place to work, get to go places with the whole family and be able to enjoy himself.
Any help you can offer is welcome and we will be very thankful for it.
God bless you all.
