Corey unexpectedly left this world on Sunday, October 9, 2022. If the measure of a man’s worth is the love left behind when he’s gone, then Corey was undoubtedly this world’s MVP!
Corey joined Sauquoit Fire Department in May 2014. He held multiple positions, including Lieutenant, Captain, Vice President, and President. One of his favorite jobs was running pump operations. Corey's love for the fire service started as a small child, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and uncle. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving his communities along side his father and brothers.
In continuing with serving the community Corey became a 911 dispatcher for Oneida County. Corey assisted many individuals during their time of need, where he was always known for remaining calm even in the most stressful times.
Corey had a contagious smile; he could brighten any person’s day with his laughter and smile. Corey loved the community he lived in and served it proudly. Everyone that knew Corey has a story to tell and that shows his caring, compassionate, friendly, humorous personality.
Corey was an assest to our community, the Sauquoit Fire Department, and the 911 Dispatch Center. He will be greatly missed.
We are now asking that the community Corey so passionately served aide his family in their time of need, as they deal with medical bills and funeral costs. Please share a memory of Corey with your donation and assist a family who has dedicated their lives to assisting others in their time of need for generations!
