I’ve always dreamed of seeing the world, and last month, I took a leap. Out of hundreds of applicants, I was accepted to study abroad.

As a freshman, this was the proudest moment of my life—until the financial aid letter arrived. My scholarship covers only a small fraction of the cost, leaving a gap for tuition and airfare that my family simply cannot bridge alone.

It’s heartbreaking to be so close to a life-changing opportunity only to have a price tag stand in the way. I’ve done the work to get accepted; now, I’m just trying to get on the plane.
