Hello friends, followers, and alumni!

 

We are Accent A Cappella, an all-gender a cappella group on the University of Florida campus. A principal aspect of our group’s mission statement is that we strive to create a second home for everyone involved. This is why we’ve had our recent name change from “No Southern Accent” to “Accent A Cappella.” With this group being a long withstanding part of UF’s history and culture, it is important to recognize the message we send to our members, supporters, audience and potential auditionees.

 

We are beyond thrilled to announce the opening of a new chapter of our group as Accent A Cappella, and this new chapter involves our first competition since the name change and the pandemic. We are currently fundraising to perform at Briarcrest OneVoice A Cappella Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee, and at ICCA (International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella) in Athens, Georgia. This will include travel costs, application fees, and equipment expenses for both events. Accent A Cappella is a student-run group that does not receive any funding from student government. We appreciate any and all donations towards our future endeavors. Thank you so much to our supporters!
