Accelerated Reading Program for Teton Students!

Hi, my name is Jill Bough, and I’m fundraising for the students of Teton Elementary. My children attend this school, and I want to help all the students become the most successful they can be at reading. There is a program that can help students be at their best and be excited about it! The children of the community deserve the best programs available to them! Teton Elementary needs an excellent reading program, and it’s called Accelerated Reading.

Teachers can use the Accelerated Reading Program to help guide struggling readers to books they can read successfully. More than 30 years of research prove Accelerated Reader is highly effective at raising reading achievement for students of all ability levels. Accelerated Reader helps teachers, students, and their families use these practices to be the most successful. I want to raise funds from our local businesses and community members to make it possible to purchase this program.

As you may or may not know, our local school district is held tight by the current budget. The school district has not yet approved opportunities for me to put typical fundraisers together like a potato bar, Pizza Pie Café, or cookie dough. However, I can gather the funds and present a check to the school for the specific program the teachers want! Purchasing this reading program is a priority for me because reading is the most important skill children will gain. The program itself costs $12.55 per child to participate and an annual fee of $750.00. Teton Elementary currently has 121 students attending. I would like to have enough to cover if ten new students attend. This amount would cover 12 calendar months. If children’s education is an essential issue for you, please help me to reach this goal.
