Hi, my name is Barbara and I'm fundraising to help start a new life for my 10-year-old son, Winston, our dog, Nymeria, and myself. In December the person who'd promised to love, protect and care for us for all our days decided we were no longer worth the trouble. He's made it clear he expects us to be the ones to move out of the home that we'd shared together as soon as possible. Our situation living there is progressively getting more uncomfortable.

After being a home maker the last 4 years I obtained a full-time day job in January, but saving at this rate is going to take longer than will be good for any of us.

A friend gave me the idea to do this and it makes me so uncomfortable to ask for help, but I'd rather be humble and ask for help anywhere I can find it than be proud and keep my child in an unstable, volatile, and potentially damaging situation any longer than I have to.

Please, please help if you can. I'm in pieces and trying so hard to keep everything together but we can't even begin to heal until we're in a safe happy home.
