Every student deserves a summer that builds them up instead of setting them back.
Sarasota County Schools are facing unprecedented budget cuts that are impacting summer enrichment programs — the very support that helps our most vulnerable students avoid falling behind. Many of these kids face the “summer slide,” where months without structured learning can cause them to lose up to 2–3 months of academic progress.
In response, a team of Pine View High School students created the Lift Up Learners Initiative. Partnering with the Summer Success Institute (SSI) and several Title I elementary schools, they secured 20 scholarship spots for bright, hardworking students from low-income families.
These scholarships will cover 8 weeks in June and July of full-day camp (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM) with activities that include:
• Daily academic instruction;
• Hands-on STEM and literacy enrichment;
• Social-emotional learning and mentorship;
• Healthy meals and materials.
Every single dollar goes directly to these scholarships — zero overhead, zero administrative fees. 100% of your donation places a child in a program that can truly change the entire trajectory of their education. If you believe every child should have a fair shot, please donate today, and please share this campaign with your friends, family, and community. Every contribution brings us closer to lifting up these 20 learners.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Lift Up Learners Initiative Team
Every donation counts. Every student lifted up.
