ACA Ski Team hurricane support

Hello fellow water skiers and friends. This is Shaune Corbett Stoskopf, along with Stars of Florida.

First, a little background on what this fundraiser is all about. 

Since 2017, two members of Stars of Florida have been working with and helping train the Mexican waterski team in Acapulco. We have met with government officials of the city of Acapulco, as well as the State of Guerrero, looking for support in providing funds for the team to perform their waterski shows. 

After tremendous hard work, the ACA Ski Team has progressed quite well. In 2022 they were invited by the International WaterSki and Wakeboard Federation to perform a demonstration of their show at the World WaterSki Championships in Florida. 

With help from the Mexican Consul in Orlando and local Government offices, the team had several shows booked for 2023. Devastatingly, these were cut short. 

On October 25th, with NO warning, category 5 Hurricane Otis slammed into Acapulco's historical beaches reaching an estimated 15 billion dollars (USD) in damages. Needless to say, the ski team was left with nearly nothing. Their boat was destroyed along with 80% of their equipment. 

As we know, the sport of waterskiing has always been a group that supports and encourages each other. What an awesome gesture it would be if all show teams and individuals around the globe would support this effort

Therefore, the goal of this fundraiser is to help replace their equipment/boat, which in turn will encourage and support this team that has been steadily growing, get back on their feet.

The hope is to raise enough money for the equipment, that will be shipped down, and to purchase a used boat that is already in Mexico.
