YaYa's medical fund

My name is Joi and I am starting a GoFundme for my little brother Daimon better known by his family and friends as Yaya.

On February 5, 2023, my brother's life as well as my family's life was changed forever. My brother was severely injured after being shot in the neck by a random teenager at a house party that was thrown for teens to celebrate a family member getting another year older as well as all of his many accomplishments.

When a fight broke out and my brother decided to end the party a random male decided it would be a good idea to start shooting. My brother felt responsible for the kids at his home and ushered everyone inside the house to safety, leaving himself open to what would ultimately happen next.

At the end of the trial of kids frantically trying to get to safety, he was struck in the left side of his neck. The bullet exited his body through his right shoulder, but not before it damaged his T1 and T2.

My brother no longer has the use of his legs, and we are asking our friends, family, and community to come together to donate to my brother's fund.

He has a long road to recovery ahead of him and will use the funds for his medical bills and all of the medical equipment he will need to help him to adjust to this new way of life.

While we are deeply saddened by the events that took place during the early morning of February 5, 2023, we are just as grateful that he is still alive.

We appreciate all of the help and thank anyone who finds it in the kindness of their hearts to donate as we provide the support, love and care that he needs. This is a tough one but God willing we will see it through.
