My name is Curt Cain, and I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, and since then, life has been a whirlwind of doctor visits, treatments, hospital stays, and unimaginable emotional and physical challenges.

As I fight to overcome this disease, I’ve been faced with a reality that many cancer patients experience — the overwhelming cost of care. Despite insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for medications, scans, surgeries, and ongoing follow-ups have become more than I can handle alone.
