Missy’s Journey: Continuing the Fight

Missy was first diagnosed with melanoma 11 years ago and faced her battle with incredible strength and courage. After two surgeries and years with no signs of the cancer returning, she was able to focus on living her life to the fullest.

Eight years later, the cancer came back. Missy began two years of immunotherapy, followed by chemotherapy. After 10 months of chemo, scans showed the cancer was active again.

Recently, Missy completed six weeks of weekly infusions, but unfortunately, the cancer gained strength and grew by more than 11%. This led to the next step involving radiation.

Missy has an appointment tomorrow (October 31, 2025) and has been in contact with her doctor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her doctor shared that she may qualify for a promising new clinical trial, but she must wait two weeks after radiation to begin.

Through it all, Missy continues to fight with incredible determination and grace. The funds raised will help with travel, food, and other expenses so she can focus entirely on her health and healing, without the added burden of financial stress.
