I never imagined having to write something like this, but I’m reaching out for help for my sweet boy, Kona. He’s only 6 years old and has recently been diagnosed with cancer in his cheek.

Kona has been my constant companion since January of 2020, always by my side and a huge part of our everyday life. He’s not just a pet; he’s family, and anyone who knows us knows how much he means to me.

Alongside my boys, Kona is a big part of our little family and brings so much comfort and love into our home.

The veterinary team believes treatment can give Kona a real chance. He needs surgery to remove the tumor, followed by 16 radiation treatments. Because of the location on his cheek, the radiation must be delivered in small doses to protect the surrounding area.

The estimated costs are:

• Surgery: $7,000

• Radiation (16 sessions): $15,000

I’ve explored insurance and financing options, but there is still a significant gap that is difficult to cover on my own. Kona is otherwise healthy, full of life, and still has so much love to give.
