AC Broke - Affecting My Autoimmune Disease
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Noelle. This is a very hard thing to do because I have a lot of pride but I need a little help. I'm usually the one trying to give to others so asking for it is incredibly humbling. I bought an older house a year ago. I also purchased a home warranty with it. All was good until things started to warm up this summer and I noticed it was not working right. Well, it needs a new coil replaced. It could not have happened at a worse time. Isn't that usually how it happens? My system requires it to be cut into, to be fixed and then welded closed and this is considered a modification, which a home warranty only covers the repairs partially. What makes it a little more unbearable for me is I have an autoimmune disease. Stress is my worst trigger and the heat is just too much for my body to handle. I have psoriatic arthritis and inverse psoriasis and an elevated white blood count. Because of this, I am prone to temperature sensitivity and the heat has made my whole body break out. Then add being extra hot, and it is incredibly uncomfortable. Wearing clothes is also painful. Being, I am self-employed, that has also played a role in this, as the economy has crippled my sales to an all-time low in 17 years. I have tried so many ways to make some extra money. I am currently having a rummage sale for three days in 80° weather and it is killing me. The rash has just exploded all over and makes it hard to function. But, I am determined to find a way to get my A/C fixed asap. I am aware many people go without A/C in their homes and if it weren't for my disease I could probably ride it out. Sadly, that is not the case and it is making it hard to get through each day. I'm fatigued from the disease and the lack of sleep and trying to get comfortable. So, at the pleading of some of my friends, they suggested I do a fund. If you can give, I graciously thank you. If you cannot, but can share, I also graciously thank you. I believe we are all a village and if we can, we need to help one another and always have each other's back. In this crazy world, trying to just make it day by day is exhausting enough and we are all we've got! xoxo
