Please help coach Stacey Hamil fight cancer!

It is with a heavy heart that I need to make this announcement or even make this request of our Tornado families and the community.
Stacey Hamil, our 12 Adidas coach, was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Her current diagnosis was a triple negative, poorly differentiated and invasive ductile carcinoma, which is very serious. As you can imagine, this was devastating news and a shock to her and her family. This news was especially heart breaking to our Tornado volleyball families who have had the privilege of working with her or being coached by Stacey over the past 20 years. Stacey has mentored hundreds of young ladies and she has touched so many young lives in the community through her passion, competitive drive. and love of game. Those that know her would all agree that Stacey is so much more than just a coach. She is a Mom of 3 beautiful and very talented children, a loving wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt and a friend too many people. Stacey is one of the most selfless people that I know and she always puts others needs before her own. She is my longtime friend and she was my teammate at U of H in 1993, under the direction of Bill Walton (current 18 Adidas coach). Stacey has also been an employee and coach here at Texas Tornados Volleyball Club for 20 years. Stacey has touched countless young ladies’ lives in her coaching career and today is our chance to touch her life, by showing her our love and support during her battle with cancer. Stacey has won many volleyball championships and even metaled at Girls Junior Olympics in her career but we can help her win at life!
This is where I need your HELP! Recently, Stacey's insurance declined the PET scan that she desperately needs in order to see how far her cancer has spread. This scan is $10,000.00 and the last thing that she should have to worry about during this time. This is just one of the major expenses that she will incur on this road to remission. I come to you today asking for you to please consider donating any amount that you can in order to help offset some of these expenses. I am asking on her behalf because she would never ask herself and she deserves it. I want us all to give her the best chance at beating this terrible disease. Please know, that any amount is sincerely and greatly appreciated. If you cannot donate at this time, that is okay. Thank you for taking the time to read this and possibly passing it along. I am also asking that you please continue to lift Stacey and her family up in prayers during this difficult time. She will need several rounds of Chemo and Radiation. Pray that this treatment can stop the cancer from spreading any more, pray for the medical team that will be administering her treatment plan and pray for Stacey to remain strong and stay positive during this difficult time, knowing that our God will provide.
