Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
We are so happy to say we are continuing to sponsor children’s education this year as well, a contribution that will benefit us in this world and the next.
We’re back again for our SEVENTH year to raise funds for education! It’s been 7 blessed years since we started this campaign Alhamdulilah. As we’ve always said, this is a project that we are committed to ourselves first and foremost and we appreciate all the support we've gotten throughout the years.
Our hope is that we will be able to raise money for their tuition + additional fees for another year. The money we raise would cover tuition, books, uniforms, transportation, and living expenses. We hope to add in Eidiyaa this year as well.
We will be sponsoring 8 children this year. Five of whom we've supported over the past few years, and three whom we've begun to support this year.
Muno (and her brother): $10 USD/month each
And $30 USD/month for each of these three families:
1. Axmed Wehliye and Sowda Axmed Wehliye
2. Anisa Hussein Farah and Muna Hussein Farah
3. Ahmed Abdisalam Hirsi and Issa Abdisalam Hirsi
These funds are the cost of their tuition, uniform, books and living expenses. Any additional funds raised will be used to cover remittance fees and carried over to next year in sha Allah.
We will be fundraising $1884 for their education ($1320 USD = ~$1884.31 CAD). We’ll be rounding up the goal to $2100 for the eidiya. It will be distributed only if we hit our goal for the education funding and we’ll be splitting the money between the 8 children, our goal is $18 USD per child.
If you donate $45 you will have covered one child's expenses for a whole month! Donate what you can and/or share widely!
All additional funds raised beyond the goal will be distributed to help cover fees, and remittances, go towards their sponsorship for the following year.
As a reminder educating a child is considered sadaqah jaariya which has endless rewards that will benefit you even after death. May Allah make your charity a means for you all to enter Jannah.
Best,
The Abwaan Chronicles Team
