I am very poorly with a life threatening condition called FIP (feline corona virus)

Unfortunately without treatment I will need to be put to sleep or I will die.

A lovely friend of my Mum’s suggested we start a go fund me to help with my vet bills.

My story…

6 weeks ago I was meowing out the front of a house, the people that lived there picked me up and took me inside, I was weak, hungry and very underweight. I had mats all down my body, they were painful and hard like bricks and I was riddled with fleas. They gave me cuddles, water and fed me, I was so hungry.

They took me to the local vet who kept me for a week, I was microchipped but it wasn’t registered. They could tell I had been living rough for a long time, I weighed just 1.9kg

After a week of advertising me nobody claimed me so the people that found me said they would care for me. The vet said I am about 1 year old, I’m only young and have had a very rough start to life.

They picked me up from the vets and I went to live with them, they fed me lots and gave me toys, I didn’t know how to play but now I love playing with my toys. They got me a bed but I prefer sleeping in their bed with them. I’m now warm, safe and get cuddles and food whenever I want.

Sadly I had very bad diarrhoea, they took me back to the vets a week later, they vet gave me course of steroids and antibiotics. Nothing changed, I still had awful diarrhoea.

We then saw another vet who suggested I could have allergies and to change my food. We did this and I started losing weight again. I managed to get my weight up to 2.9kg but I dropped back down to 2.4kg the vet said to put me back on the food I was on and run more blood tests along with poo samples.

Unfortunately these have come back to be FIP, this condition was not curable a couple of years ago but with a new drug GS441524 this is now curable but it comes with a huge price tag.

The vet said we are looking between £3000-£5000 for this treatment. It’s a lot of money but I need it to survive.

With many success stories of this drug my new family would like to give me every chance we can but unfortunately they can’t fund all of this and although they have insurance they won’t pay out because I was a stray that potentially already had this condition.

Please can you help me, no matter how big or small your donation it will all help to save my life.

Unfortunately I don’t have long and I need to start treatment ASAP.
