On September 26th 2022 our world was flipped upside down. Our 17 year old son Xavier was diagnosed with cancer. For a little over a month we'd been having testing done because he's been losing weight and complaining of stomach and back pain.

We were quickly sent to St. Jude where a biopsy was taken to determine exactly what type of cancer. Unfortunately that biopsy caused internal bleeding. Xavier was rushed into emergency surgery where 2 liters of blood was removed from his abdomen. Along with his spleen. We almost lost him then. But X is a fighter and amazed the staff with his quick recovery.

X was diagnosed with Metastatic Epitheliod Sarcoma. He had several tumors throughout his abdomen and pelvis.

We began chemo treatment every 21 days. Traveling back and forth to Memphis from our home in NE Tennessee (8 hours away).

In December Xavier had debulking surgery. 85% of the tumors were removed, we learned the tumor has grown into his pancreas.

Xavier had to skip a round of chemo while recovering from this surgery.

We returned to Memphis at the end of January to get imaging for radiation treatment to begin.They also got imaging to see where we were since surgery. And we were getting a round of chemo. That's when we learned that the tumor in the pancreas had grown up into his chest.

We're waiting 3 weeks to get imaging again. At that point if there's no change in size we need to revisit quality of life vs treatment.

If it does shrink we will continue with treatment and be put in a trial with a different chemo.

St. Jude covers our travel expenses and medical expenses. Any funds raised will go towards loss of pay as we don't have much vacation time left. Financially the Lord has provided and we've had gracious donors.

We've been asked about a GoFundMe quite a few times. It seems this is the easiest way to get the word out.

Any funds left over after this battle has been won will go to St. Jude.

What we want more than anything are prayers for a miracle.
