Hope Rising–Dreamline’s Response

PIVOT: Dreamline is now raising $3,500 to fund 100 students from Harding Middle School to participate in Dreamline’s HOPE RISING week-long summer program.

"It is imperative that they still have a voice and a place to meet with people of their own age to discuss what is weighing on their minds right now. "

—Harding Middle Vice Principal

Your contribution of $35 can invite one Harding Middle School student to experience HOPE RISING.

Here’s more of what the Vice Principal had to say about HOPE RISING and Harding Middle:

“I think now, more than ever, our students need to feel a sense of connection to community and the world. They need to know that their voice matters and they need to learn and grow from world experiences.

Hope Rising would be the perfect platform to let our students know that they are truly our future and they can start to make a difference. They can start that line of communication and begin to educate themselves and others around them to start to make changes in our world.“

Your contribution of  $70 can invite two students from Harding Middle to participate in HOPE RISING to discuss what matters most with their peers AND with students from other communities.

Below are excerpts from our public statement and why this fundraising matters right now.
Black lives matter.

Dreamline stands in solidarity with those in protest of the police brutality that ended the life of George Floyd. We stand in solidarity with all those in condemnation of systemic racism and all students we have had the privilege to serve in Philadelphia, including Laboratory Charter School, Parkway North West, and Harding Middle School.

We want to acknowledge our passive efforts to engage underserved communities, and commitment to do a better job using the Dreamline platform to celebrate and amplify the power of Black children’s voice, experience, and dreams.

We can begin fulfilling that commitment NOW with your help.

Please contribute and share.
