My name is Mariam, and I’m a mother of four beautiful children, each one a precious light in the darkness that has engulfed our lives here in Gaza. Kenan, my eldest 9-years-old, Mohammad 8-year-old, Aseel 6-year-old, and Lana just 17-months-old, our ray of hope in these bleak times.

The war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, and still rages on, its destructive force tearing apart everything in its path. We have spent all our savings just trying to survive, leaving us unable to afford the exorbitant coordination fees needed to escape this nightmare.

As the bombs continue to fall and the violence escalates, our children's futures hang in the balance. They have already lost one year of their education, forced to watch helplessly as their schools crumble to dust under the relentless assault. If we stay in Gaza, they may lose another year, trapped in a cycle of despair with no end in sight.

But perhaps the most terrifying threat of all is the looming specter of an Israeli military invasion. The authorities have already announced their intentions to enter Rafah, and it's only a matter of time before they turn their sights on us. Our only hope lies in the support of generous donors like you, who can help us ensure the safety of our children in the face of imminent danger.

I have already endured unimaginable loss in this war. My brother Muhammad was taken from us by a sniper's bullet in 2017, and just recently, my mother lost her life when our family home was destroyed by an Israeli air strike.

Ya Hala Coordination Company arranges the passage of Gazans to Egypt, but the cost of freedom is beyond our reach, a burden too heavy for us to bear alone, However, e­ach adult (over 16) must pay 5,000$ to 12000$ It depends on how quickly you need to leave Gaza, while children (unde­r 16) require 2,500$ to depart.

اسمي مريم، وأنا أم لأربعة أطفال جميلين، هم النور في الظلام الذي اجتاح حياتنا هنا في غزة. كنان، ابني الأكبر البالغ من العمر 9 سنوات، ومحمد 8 سنوات، وأسيل 6 سنوات، ولانا 17 شهرًا فقط، هم بصيص أملنا في هذه الأوقات القاتمة.

بدأت الحرب على غزة في 7 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2023، وما زالت مستمرة، وقوتها المدمرة تمزق كل شيء في طريقها. لقد أنفقنا كل مدخراتنا في محاولة البقاء على قيد الحياة، مما جعلنا غير قادرين على تحمل رسوم التنسيق الباهظة اللازمة للهروب من هذا الكابوس.

ومع استمرار سقوط القنابل وتصاعد أعمال العنف، أصبح مستقبل أطفالنا على المحك. لقد فقدوا بالفعل سنة واحدة من تعليمهم، وأجبروا على مشاهدة مدارسهم وهي تنهار وتتحول إلى غبار تحت الهجوم المتواصل. وإذا بقينا في غزة، فقد يخسرون عاماً آخر، وقد يقعون في فخ دائرة اليأس التي لا نهاية لها في الأفق.

ولكن ربما يكون التهديد الأكثر رعباً على الإطلاق هو شبح الغزو العسكري الإسرائيلي الذي يلوح في الأفق. لقد أعلنت قوات الإحتلال الإسرائيلية بالفعل عن نيتها الدخول إلى رفح، وهي مسألة وقت فقط قبل أن يوجهو أنظارهم إلينا. أملنا الوحيد يكمن في دعمكم، الذي يمكن ان يساعد في ضمان سلامة أطفالنا في مواجهة خطر وشيك.

لقد تحملت بالفعل خسارة لا يمكن تصورها في هذه الحرب. لقد أُخذ أخي محمد منا عندما قتله جيش الإحتلال برصاصة قناص في عام 2017، وفي هذه الحرب فقدت والدتي حياتها عندما دمرت غارة جوية إسرائيلية منزل عائلتنا.

تقوم شركة يا هلا للتنسيق بترتيب مرور سكان غزة إلى مصر، لكن تكلفة الحرية بعيدة عن متناولنا، وهي عبء ثقيل جدًا لا يمكننا تحمله بمفردنا، ومع ذلك، يجب على كل شخص بالغ (فوق 16 عامًا) دفع 5000 دولار إلى 12000 دولار، ويعتمد ذلك على ما مدى السرعة التي تحتاجها لمغادرة غزة، في حين يحتاج الأطفال (أقل من 16 عامًا) إلى 2500 دولار للمغادرة.
