Abuelita Issa Cancer Battle

Queridos amigos y familiares,

Hoy les escribimos con el corazón lleno de esperanza, pero también con una urgencia que no podemos ignorar. Queremos compartir con ustedes la historia de nuestra amada abuelita, una mujer valiente que ha enfrentado innumerables desafíos con una sonrisa en su rostro y un espíritu inquebrantable.

En el año 2023, a nuestra abuelita se le diagnosticó un cáncer espino celular maligno invasivo en la piel de su rostro. A pesar de someterse a 40 radioterapias, lamentablemente el cáncer no ha cedido, y ahora se ha extendido al ojo y al cráneo. Esta noticia ha sido devastadora para toda nuestra familia, pero nuestra abuelita se ha mantenido fuerte y decidida a luchar.

Además de esta batalla contra el cáncer, nuestra abuelita ha enfrentado otra tragedia inimaginable. En agosto del 2023, perdió a su esposo, después de 59 años de matrimonio. Su partida dejó un vacío inmenso en nuestros corazones y ha sido un golpe emocional difícil de superar.

Pero a pesar de todo, nuestra abuelita sigue siendo un ejemplo de fortaleza y amor incondicional. Su deseo de vivir y su determinación nos inspiran a todos los que la rodeamos. En estos momentos de adversidad, encontramos consuelo en nuestra fe, sabiendo que Dios está con nosotros, guiándonos a través de estos tiempos difíciles.

La única esperanza que tenemos para nuestra abuelita es una cirugía invasiva, en la que se retirará parte del hueso del cráneo y de la órbita del ojo afectados por el cáncer. Pero la lucha no termina ahí. Después de la cirugía, necesitará someterse a 10 inmunoterapias, valoradas en $12,000 cada una, que se administrarán cada 21 días.

Estos tratamientos son vitales para su recuperación y su calidad de vida futura. Sin embargo, su costo es abrumador y estamos luchando para cubrirlo.

Les pedimos humildemente que nos ayuden en esta causa. Cualquier contribución, por pequeña que sea, marcará la diferencia en la vida de nuestra abuelita. Su generosidad significará más de lo que pueden imaginar, y estaremos eternamente agradecidos por su apoyo en este momento tan difícil.

Today we write to you with hearts full of hope, but also with an urgency that we cannot ignore. We want to share with you the story of our beloved grandmother, a brave woman who has faced countless challenges with a smile on her face and an unbreakable spirit.

In 2023, our grandmother was diagnosed with an invasive malignant squamous cell carcinoma on the skin of her face. Despite undergoing 40 radiotherapies, unfortunately, the cancer has not relented, and it has now spread to her eye and skull. This news has been devastating for our entire family, but our grandmother has remained strong and determined to fight.

In addition to this battle against cancer, our grandmother has faced another unimaginable tragedy. In August 2023, she lost her husband, after 59 years of marriage. His passing left an immense void in our hearts and has been an emotionally difficult blow to overcome.

But despite it all, our grandmother remains an example of strength and unconditional love. Her desire to live and her determination inspire all of us who surround her. In these times of adversity, we find solace in our faith, knowing that God is with us, guiding us through these difficult times.

The only hope we have for our grandmother is invasive surgery, in which part of the bone from her skull and eye orbit affected by cancer will be removed. But the fight does not end there. After the surgery, she will need to undergo 10 immunotherapies, valued at $12,000 each, to be administered every 21 days.

These treatments are vital for her recovery and her future quality of life. However, their cost is overwhelming, and we are struggling to cover it.
