She had a humble upbringing in rural Argentina, where she cultivated her strength, determination and tenacity; an upbringing that would serve her well, strengthening her character in a way that would allow her to deal with the vicissitudes in her life; an upbringing that would also make her the ever resilient Abuela, whose fortitude and endurance could not be diminished by the march of time even at 101 years.
She held a job as a property manager up until the day before she got on a plane to come to the U.S. She was also known for her generosity and caring ways. What always stood out the most about Abuela, was her love of life, her willingness to try new things, and her progressive thinking. She believed that women should be allowed to have more powerful roles within the Catholic church and was very accepting of different cultures.
Unfortunately, Abuela had many financial struggles throughout her life. Any contributions to assist with her medical and funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
