In the early morning of May 27th, my grandma Altagracia unexpectedly passed away. Altagracia was a strong, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and role model to all. She came visiting for the second time from the Dominican Republic to see her daughter, my mom, her grandchildren and other family and loved ones here in Boston, MA. Abuela’s unexpected passing has left us all in the utmost shock and with great pain in our hearts as anyone can imagine. We were not prepared for this in any way. But She will forever be remembered and loved dearly. I come to these means in hopes of obtaining as much help as possible from you all to cover costs for my family to be able to send and lay my grandmother to rest in her home country, DR. Mother’s day in DR is tomorrow, May 28th, and as anyone can imagine, this couldn’t be a more unpleasant time. On behalf of my family, I ask my village and anyone who sees this to please consider donating whatever you are able to. Anything will help and be greatly appreciated. God, with all the pain in our hearts, we are content with your willpower, and ask for you to continue providing strength and peace to my family. May God bless you all and your loved ones.

La madrugada del 27 de mayo falleció inesperadamente mi abuela Altagracia. Altagracia fue una madre fuerte y amorosa, abuela, bisabuela, hermana y modelo a seguir para todos. Vino de visita por segunda vez desde la República Dominicana para ver a su hija, sus nietos y otros familiares y seres queridos aquí en Boston, MA. El fallecimiento inesperado de Abuela nos ha dejado a todos en estado de shock y con un gran dolor en nuestros corazones como cualquiera puede imaginar. No estábamos preparados para esto de ninguna manera. Pero Ella siempre será recordada y amada por toda su familia. Acudo a estos medios con la esperanza de obtener la mayor ayuda posible de todos ustedes para cubrir los costos de mi familia para poder enviar y sepultar a mi abuela en su país de origen, DR. El día de la madre en RD es mañana, 28 de mayo, y como cualquiera puede imaginar, este no podría ser un momento más desagradable. En nombre de mi familia, le pido a mi pueblo y a cualquiera que vea esto que considere donar lo que pueda. Cualquier cosa ayudará y será muy apreciada. Dios, con todo el dolor de nuestro corazón, nos contentamos con tu voluntad, y te pedimos que sigas brindando fortaleza y paz a mi familia. Que Dios los bendiga a todos y a sus seres queridos.
