My creative work has been a life journey from glassblower to sculptor and painter. My collage paintings are faceless they embody the street musician, religious frantic and the homeless. Balanced repetitive curves that reveal more physical form, gritty textures, sharp bold colors that speak to us with compassion and love.
I’m asking for funds to address the shipping cost for 2 works from, my series, Faceless Melodies, to the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea for an exhibition entitled “Abstract Mind”, and International exhibition scheduled for February 17th to March 7th, 2021. The two works, “Let Go” and “Whispers” need to be shipped by the last week of January 2021 to arrive at the museum 10 days prior to opening.
The CICA museum exhibition will open a visual dialogue to investigate the aspects of the current complexity shaped by culture, tradition, politics and a personal sense of relevance; unearthing the roots and comprehending the importance of time, past and present. The Museum is also producing a catalogue for the exhibition. Inclusion would assist the documentation of my international participation as an artist.
My collage paintings are an assemblage of re-purposed materials to create fragmented compositions of expressive lyrical movement. The collages converge with the human spirit, the emotional agitation and sensitivity — the music.
Faceless Melodies are more than a “stop sign” they are messengers impeding our way to walk past.
Funding donations would be appreciated at any level. The International air cost with Fed-x round trip is $2700.00.
