Absinthe the Cat’s Stone Removal Surgery

Hey everyone,

Chandra Free here, once again asking for help and love for my baby boy cat, Absinthe. He needs surgery (a cystotomy) for removing two stones that are giving him infections and causing him trouble urinating.

(This is a crap photo as the vet was out of the room. It’s hard to see but in the circle to the left of the cursor is where the stones are)

Here’s my story:

I am a poor freelance artist, I don’t make much and scraping by every month to pay my debt, and try to help with groceries. I’m fortunate to have my boyfriend/partner Steve in my life to cover housing and other things, but I’m still struggling a lot. Something like this is devastating to myself, and Steve can only do so much. I’m turning to all of you on gofundme to help get Mr. Absinthe the much needed surgery.

I wish I could return the favor you’re all doing for me- I'm currently busy with what work I have, outstanding work, and getting a book out. What I can offer is my love to you all, and the knowledge you’re helping a really amazing cat. He’s my light, my friend, my son. He’s super gentle and friendly (until it’s time for vet and pills, oof!), overall a great cat that loves belly pets.

Absinthe means the world to me, and has seen me at my lowest and highest. I made a promise to him when I first got him I would take care of him if he took care of me….
