Hello! We are the 'Abroad' team! We are hoping to raise $4000 to fund our poetic documentary film.

What is a family to you? Is it measured by blood, by distance or by real connection?

Abroad, pulling on your heartstrings is an intimate experience. A poetic documentary narrated by an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who has been employed as a domestic helper in Singapore for over 20 years.

Reflecting on the life she has with her family, she describes the remaining strong connections, love and perseverance she endures for them. The story flows in between Singapore in her current life, and in the Philippines, where her life used to be. The documentary experience will be as if filtering through her memories and connections together with her.

We will be using our funding to cover our Director and Cinematographer's flights to both countries and as well for the gear to be used during our production.
