Abriel 7yrs - Kicking Ewing Sarcoma
Donation protected
This is Abriel's story.
Sunday Sept 7th, 2015.
Can you imagine getting the news completely out of the blue that your child has cancer?! Sadly, Nikkole and Rod Bentley don't have to imagine.
End of August 2015 Abriel kept telling her parents that her left leg hurt. Initially it was thought to be growing pains. After a couple of days they brought her into the E.R. to run some tests. They kept her overnight for more tests and by the evening of Friday Sept 4th the doctors confirmed Nikkole and Rod's worst nightmare - cancer. Ewing Sarcoma in the left tibia. A very aggressive and rare form of cancer. Thanks to Abriel speaking up and wording her pain it was detected earlier than usual. Scans indicate at this point that the area affected is relatively small.
Tomorrow, Tuesday September 8th Abriel needs more tests to determine if the cancer is contained in the leg. Of course we hope you will join the family in prayer with healing thoughts for this next step.
Cancer can be a long windy road with many twists and turns. Sometimes unpredictable things happen that take a costly toll financially and emotionally. Treatments are expensive and often require years of medical care. We are setting the Bentley's up for as much success possible in their efforts to help sweet Abriel defeat cancer. Please spread the word with friends and family and help us rally around Nikkole and Rod.
Thank you for your support.
