Want to hear a beautiful, bittersweet love story?

Once upon a time there was a couple of teenagers who fell in love, Sarah and Tony. Like many, they had their ups and downs but always chose to forgive and grow rather than get negative and stuck. They married and had two beautiful boys, a solid connection with family, and a wealth of friends. They loved big and were loved big in return.

But life took a sharp turn one day, when they found out Sarah had a unique type of terminal cancer. It slowly took from her over the years, resulting in her being bed bounded and on hospice. But Tony was vigilant in his care for her.

He would make pancakes with little happy faces (blueberries and bacon go a long way for some eyes and a smile). He would wash her hair. He would sit with her no matter what mood she was in… no matter what frustration came from her experience. He listened. He couldn’t fix her body, but he could show her over and over again how much she was loved. And he was everything for her and the kids.

But then the unthinkable happened. Tony was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer… 3 months to one year timeline.

In true Tony fashion, he attacked life. He approached his diagnosis with hope and positivity. From quick ice cream trips to walks with his mother and the boys, to spending time with Sarah… he made sure everyone around him was okay. And he was okay because they were okay.

And then he took being a gentleman to the next level… the soul level. After he completed all treatments possible, Tony went first. Tony went first because that’s what this unbreakable couple decided before they entered into this life. Soul contracts are made and then forgotten so the soul grows when here on Earth. And anyone who knows Tony, would agree that if you asked his soul… do you want to prepare the Heavens for Sarah… he would hands down volunteer to be the arms she falls into.

The ultimate gentleman. The ultimate husband. The ultimate soul.

We should all pray to love like Tony did.
