Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you already know, my lifelong love of volleyball has recently exploded into the very real possibility that I can compete internationally in para beach tournaments in the coming years.
While Para Beach Volleyball is not currently part of the Paralympics, the World ParaVolley organization is making a push for it to be included in the 2028 LA games. My coaches have told me that with the right training and conditioning, I will be a strong candidate for the American Team.
For this coming year, there are national and international para beach tournaments I am hoping to attend, though there are no concrete dates yet.
I am asking for your support! The first step is simply an upgraded prosthetic for my right foot. Literally held together by duct tape at this point, the new sports prosthetic will give me much-needed spring, flexibility and comfort.
Though my health insurance covers prosthetics, it is the $7,000 deductible especially that I need help with. Between this and other expenses for training, equipment, travel, and tournament fees, I am seeking to raise $10,000 for this coming year.
Thank you for considering! I’ll be sure to keep everyone up to date on my progress.
With love and gratitude,
Abram
