Unfortunately, one of Cushman’s own team members, Abram Jackson, experienced a house fire on Sunday. Abram joined our team as a Property Administrator in the fall of 2017.
His neighbor’s townhome caught on fire, which subsequently also affected Abram’s townhome. His home suffered significant smoke, water and fire damage. Fortunately, Abram was not at home when the incident occurred, so he is safe and sound. However, most of his possessions are at a significant loss.
I recently found out about Abram’s predicament, and wanted to know how I can help. So, I reached out to Abram to see what I could do. Abram advised that he is in need of clothes, toiletries, bedding, etc. – just the basics of everyday life. In Abram’s role as Property Admin, he is the first person people see in our office building, so it is important that he maintain a professional appearance.
He is currently living with family until he can sort out the specifics with the insurance company. Despite having experienced the fire on Sunday, Abram showed up to work on Monday with a smile on his face. His positive disposition is what he credits getting him through this very tough time.
I have always been part of companies that give back and assist our team mates in a time of need, so I am hopeful that you will help me in collecting some funds to help Abram get the basics he needs to restore some sort of normalcy in his life.
