"make a wish" for my father

My father has been battling severe medical conditions, has stage four cancer, and just recently was given the green light to take the trip he's always wanted to take. For the last several months I have been by his side as he has been in and out of the hospitals. HE has the heart of lion and soul of a warrior. We are very lucky to have arrived where we are today. My father and I met later in life and it has been the greatest thing to happen to me outside of having a child of my own.

His dream has been to take a road trip from Dallas to San Fransisco. We've been delayed due to his health however, we now have the clearance from his doctor to make the journey. Expenses for have gone beyond what we are capable of covering atm. With adding his nurse as a personal assistant (280 a day for 10 days plus accommodations and expenses) and a couple of other bits my father needs... it's going to run us an extra chunk of money to pull this off. She's offering to drive her suv for us to all fit comfortably and knows my dad well along with all of his medical conditions. Having her go with us will also allow capturing photographs and making a film of this a lot easier while driving :-)


I know the universe is conspiring for us to make my this happen so, I'm placing this here with the the request and hopes that we'll receive enough momentum in donations to the "make a wish for Hal's dad fund" to take off. We're ready to go and would like to leave first thing in the morning. Thank you so much for all your support, prayers and positive vibes. It's made a huge difference and every little bit counts.
