About to lose our home, please help!

My name is Maddie, and a few years ago, after many struggles in life, I purchased my first house. I have put many hours and much effort into fixing this house and making it my home. Unfortunately, during this time, I have also run into medical expenses, emergency repairs, and other factors that have caused me to fall behind on payments due for the house.

The city is threatening to take my owned home away if I do not pay them at least $2,662.72 by October 7th, 2025.

I don't like to beg people for help, but we can only put in so many hours and sell so many of our things. We don't have much, and there are neurodivergent individuals and people with medical needs living in this house, as well as animals. I have lost so much in my life, and I cannot bear to lose my home. We're doing everything we possibly can, and we are in desperate need of help.

UPDATE 8/6/2025:

We are so close!! The goal is set higher than what is owed to the city on account of bills needing to be paid (I have utilities that are paid through the city as well, so they are linked to my taxes) and fees taken. As time passes, more invoices unfortunately arrive. We have more to pay off than what is included in the letter, but the notice was regarding invoices that were severely overdue.

The donations we have received so far have gone towards clearing a WHOPPING amount of taxes. We are still overdue and still need to pay, but thanks to everybody's hard work and help, we're not at as much of a risk anymore.

From the very bottoms of our hearts, we all appreciate you. We're a few thousand from being caught up, but LESS THAN $1K from meeting our goal!!! You guys all did this! Thank you!!!
