A message from Defy Ventures Associate Board and Community.
Thank you so much for taking interest in supporting About the Stitch and its founder and CEO, Alex Arguello. About the Stitch, like so many businesses across New York City and the country at large, has been deeply impacted on a financial and personal level.
Before COVID, About The Stitch was blessed with a thriving business built upon the hard work of Alex and his devoted seven person tailoring team. Since March, About the Stitch has been unable to work, leaving Alex and his employees without pay and unable to pay vendors.
To complicate matters, Alex and his mother fell severely ill with COVID. At a time when Alex was trying to be a leader and support his trusted team, he was fighting for the health of himself and his loved ones.
Alex has persevered through what seemed like insurmountable obstacles before and we know he will again, hopefully with your help. We at Defy Ventures know Alex as someone who overcame difficult past circumstances to start a business - and we want to help him and his team to do everything they can continue thriving.
ABOUT THE STITCH:
About the Stitch is a creative design studio located in the heart of Manhattan. Founded in 2016, Its goal is to make all of our customers feel empowered and elevated by bringing customers ideas to reality. Alex started the company with a simple dream: to make people feel comfortable and offer opportunities to aspiring tailors. With a 4.9 rating on Google Search the team has glowing reviews about their craftsmanship and professionalism.
OUR ASK:
We are asking for you to help raise funds so Alex can pay his hardworking employees and cover vendor and operating costs such as rent and utilities for his workshop. Our goal is $20,000 to cover his costs for March through June 2020.
Monthly Expenses: Approximately $5,200
