Aboriginal Amateur Boxer

Hello, I’m Brody Masterson, an Aboriginal boxer with a dream of competing in the Olympics. My journey has been shaped by significant challenges, but boxing has given me hope and a pathway to a brighter future. I’m reaching out for your support to help cover essential expenses for traveling, new gear, and boxing programs that will bring me closer to achieving my Olympic dream.

My Story:

Growing up, I faced severe adversity. My father struggled with drug addiction and subjected me to physical and verbal abuse. My mother, who has bipolar disorder, was not able to provide the stable environment I needed. Despite these hardships, I found strength in boxing—a sport that has become my refuge and my passion.

Boxing has not only provided me with a way to cope with my past but also ignited a dream within me: to represent my community and country at the Olympic Games. This journey has already seen significant success; I am the 60kg State Champion. My goal for next year is to become the National Champion and take the next steps toward qualifying for the Olympics.

My goals for the next 4 years are to win the 2025 under 19 Nationals, The Youth World Titles, Win The Elite State titles and National Titles, and win the qualifiers for the 2028 Olympics.
