“From the heart of Gaza… this is my story”

My name is Aboud, a 19-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. I used to live a simple life — studying at university, dreaming of a future where I could achieve my goals and ease some of the heavy burdens carried by every young person in this besieged place.

But everything changed.

The recent war turned my life upside down. Our home was bombed, and everything we owned disappeared under the rubble. We lost our shelter, I lost my university, we lost our sense of safety… and today, my family and I live in harsh conditions — no electricity, not enough food, no source of income, and no clear hope.

Still, I dream. I dream only of returning to my studies, of providing my family with their daily needs, of living a normal life — the life any human being deserves.
