If you've ever met Lena, you know that she is one of the smartest, most loving, and licking dogs you've ever met. She is such a special friend to so many people, and her smile brightens the day of anyone she meets. If know Lena, you know how strong she is and how hard she works to keep her family and friends safe. She has suddenly been struck with a disease called Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) and is struggling to survive in emergency care. It happened so fast it took us completely off guard, but we are doing everything we can to give her a fighting chance. She has already gone through one blood transfusion to buy us some time so that her doctors can figure out what is causing the IMHA and get her stable again. Lena is such an important part of our family, and we need a little help to keep her with us.
