Abi's Top Surgery Fund!

Hello friends! My name is Charlie Dunphy, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my incredible partner Abi. They are getting top surgery this spring, and unfortunately it’s only partially covered by MCP.

As many of you know, this procedure is not offered here in Newfoundland and Labrador, so we will have to travel to New Brunswick and stay there for a couple of days for pre and post-op care.

The total approximate cost of this procedure (based on my own experience and research) is as follows:

Surgery Fees not covered by MCP: $3,277.50

Travel Costs for two People: $2,250

Accommodations for four days: $500

Approximate Total: $6,027.50

If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing with your communities. If any funds remain from this fundraiser after their surgery, we will donate it back to other local people who are seeking mutual aid for gender affirming care.
