Abi's fight against breast cancer

Hello, my name is Denise Coatney and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story.

My mom Abi (short for abuela=grandma in Spanish) was diagnosed for the second time with breast cancer last August.

She is full of love and she is a fighter. Despite everything she has gone through she has remained positive and faithful. She wants to keep fighting and get better.

She has gone through fifteen chemotherapies so far. Unfortunately, her age and the chemo drugs have put Abi in the hospital since her bone marrow is not making enough white blood cells to fight infection.

The lining of her esophagus is damaged and she is in a lot of pain.

She is being treated for neutropenia but unfortunately, it is a slow process.

This has made me come to you asking for any help no matter how small to help me cover the medical bills that keep accumulating.

For the past months, I have been lucky to use my sick leave to help take my mom to her doctor appointments, chemo treatments, lab draws, etc. but after seven months I am out of days, and this will start affecting my family financially as well.

Any amount you are willing to contribute will go straight to cover her cancer treatment and her hospital stay which will be a long one.
